The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance level developed for intervention experiences a more info superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a more info service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
